Tuesday 26th September
All those taking part in weekly walking hockey sessions across our three venues (St Clears, Llandybie and Pembrey) all came together in one location, Pembrey memorial Hall on Tuesday 26th of September. A charity walking hockey session was organised and 30 participants came along to play hockey, socialise and enjoy tea, coffee and cakes all in aid of Macmillan.
Friday 29th September
Big thanks to the staff at Ammanford Leisure Centre for organising a Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday 29th September. Thanks to everyone who purchased cakes and or raffle tickets during the day.
The total raised from both events was &336.79, with all money going to Macmillan.
Thank you once again to all who came along and supported all of our recent charity events – we are overwhelmed by the generosity of Actif customers and staff… THANK YOU!
Walking Hockey - interested in giving it a go?
Walking Hockey sessions are suitable for all ages and fitness abilities and you do not need to have played hockey before to get involved. The sessions are more about meeting new people, trying out a new sport and having fun while doing some gentle exercise.
Sessions take place weekly at the following venues;
• Pembrey Memorial Hall – every Tuesday 1.30-2.30pm
• St Clears Leisure Centre – every Thursday 9.30 – 10.30am
• Llandybie Memorial Hall – every Wednesday 1.30 – 2.30pm
You don’t need to have a hockey stick, we’ll provide all the equipment. Just come along in comfortable loose clothing and trainers and don’t forget your water bottle.
